Adria has today been named as Europe's most popular caravan brand, according to a source.

A study carried out by the European Caravan Federation has shown the Northampton-based firm is the most owned brand, reports emportal.co.yu.

There are 4,772 registered owners of the firm's mobile homes within Europe, the website states.

Sonja Gole, general manager for the firm, told the source the caravan company could last year boast the largest number of newly registered mobile home vehicles, with this latest award proving they are able to sustain in the current economic market.

Meanwhile, the Northern Motorcaravan Show is set to take place later this month.

The event will be held at North Yorkshire's Pickering showground between September 19th and 21st, according to outandaboutlive.co.uk.

A wide range of stalls selling accessories and motorhomes from more than 250 traders, including those hailing from America and Europe, will be on offer throughout the show, the website adds.
