The three caravan park finalists in Enjoy England's Awards for Excellence 2008 have been announced.
It has been revealed that two northern parks and a family run park based in Herefordshire are in the running for the Best Caravan Park at the awards which are coined the tourism Oscars.
Poston Mill Park in Peterchurch boasts a location in the Golden Valley while also having activities like a pitch and putt course, badminton and eight acres of dog walks.
One of the northern contenders is the Sunset Park in Yorkshire which claims to be "your ultimate holiday destination".
In the past four years the park has developed two themed areas, which are gated communities with one having lodges in a Cape Cod style.
The third contender is Seafield Caravan Park in Northumberland, which claims to be "one of the most relaxing holiday home locations" in the UK.
A final decision will be made on the awards on April 23rd with sustainability being the hot topic in this year's competition, with each of the candidate having shown a leading role in "green tourism".
