Poston Mill Park has won VisitBritain's award for Caravan Holiday Park of the Year award.

The site, which was recently awarded a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award, is set in 33 acres of the Herefordshire countryside.

All of the pitches at the park are flat and level, with most being hard standing.

Facilites at the site include the River Dore, where fishing is available, a nine-hole putting area, badminton and a small children's play area.

In addition, the park says there are lovely walks around that river and a large dog walking field.

The site is located near Peterchurch, which has two local pubs, a bistro and shop.

Runner-ups in the awards, which were sponsored by the Caravan Club, were Sunset Park, in Hambleton and Seafield Caravan Park on the Northumberland coast.

Seafield was praised for having a great tranquillity and a number of water features and shrubbed areas.
