A motorhome is set to take two friends on a journey to the site of a charity run, according to a source.
John Bratt agreed to lend Don Hewar his motorhome to make the trip from Wales to Newcastle for the Great North Run, reports the Bangor and Anglesey Mail.
But after some gentle persuasion, both will now take on the 13-mile track, after first getting their in the mobile home.
Mr Bratt comments to the newspaper how the plan snowballed after he was originally asked to contribute funds.
He states: "He first asked me for sponsorship, then, because Ive got a motorhome, wondered if I could come along with him to support. I decided if I was going all the way up to Newcastle then it would have to be worthwhile so I decided to join him on the run."
Mr Hewar is running the race despite suffering kidney failure in 2000 and is keen to "give something back", the publication adds.
In other motorhome news, Olympians Nick Dempsey and Sarah Ayton are set to go on a campervan holiday after their wedding, according to the Eastern Daily Press.
