Glastonbury welcomes caravan and motorhome owners

Those attending Glastonbury this year may be able to do so with more class this year as more caravan and motorhome pitches are being provided.
Muddy and wet conditions could be avoided for those who own their own caravan as, according to Safeguard insurance, the official Glastonbury website reveals a larger area will be dedicated to motorhomes, caravans and campervans this year.
In addition to protection from the elements, the vehicles may provide a safer environment for your belongings, which can include MP3 players, money, cameras and even laptops.
Those wanting to take their caravan to the festival can pay £40 to do so, with facilities including toilets, water and security staff patrolling the area, however no electricity will be available.
Riat Sadler, head of Safeguard Insurance, said caravanning is preferable over the traditional festival option of camping, but warns that people taking their vehicle should ensure they have the correct cover to protect all their belongings.
