Motorhomes offer 'spontaneity'

Motorhome holidays have been praised for the level of spontaneity they offer.

Paul Cole, travel editor for the Sunday Mercury, claims owners of mobile homes can "take a break on a whim".

He states the spontaneity offered by motorhomes and caravans make them attractive options for a holiday.

Mr Cole claims his own family enjoy the advantages of mobile home breaks around Britain.

He adds to the newspaper: "Taking a break on a whim is something of a family trait. Some years back we set off from the Midlands determined to have a snowball fight, and ended up in Scotland."

The travel writer adds he has travelled around Europe in a motor home and owned vehicles ranging from a "moderately-sized Pilote to a 27-foot Bessacarr", the news provider reports.

Earlier this week, Paul Havenhand, marketing director for Towergate Bakers, suggested caravan holidays are booming during the credit crunch.ADNFCR-1431-ID-18831475-ADNFCR
