Holidaymakers hoping to save money on their break this summer should opt for a motorhome holiday, experts have advised.

According to the Guardian, hiring a caravan for a week can cost from £500 and there will be an additional cost of parking it in a campsite.

Those who like the idea of caravanning round the UK this summer may want to take advantage of money-saving activities such as visiting Britain's museums or taking time out on the beaches, both of which can be enjoyed for free, according to the newspaper.

It has also pointed out that keeping an eye out for discount vouchers for venues such as theme parks can allow people to have a cheap family day out.

The Grimsby Telegraph recently reported that caravan enthusiasts should head to Brocklesby Fair in Grimsby this weekend to try their luck at winning one of the raffle prizes of staying in luxury caravan for a week.
