Environmentally-friendly camping practices are being taught across Scotland, according to a source.
Scottish Natural Heritage is teaching 150 of the nation's outdoors instructors about eco-friendly measures, reports the Press and Journal.
As part of the campaign a series of workshops and seminar sessions will be put on.
Myles Farnbank, senior guide for Wilderness Scotland and a speaker at the workshops, tells the newspaper issues such as reducing carbon emissions will be on offer at the classes.
He adds: "The workshops will help outdoor instructors identify activities and behaviour which might cause damage or pollution, and demonstrate ways to minimise impact and remove any traces of camping activity."
In recent weeks, several camping sites and caravan parks have received awards for their eco-friendly strategies.
Last week, the Skegness Standard reported news of a David Bellamy Gold Award for Heron's Mead Touring Park, while the Skegness Water Leisure Park picked up the same accolade in September.
