The British Tourist Board has released a new guide to camping and caravan sites in the UK.

Entitled Britain's Camping, Caravan and Holiday Park guide, the book provides comprehensive information on all assessed sites in Britain.

The newspaper describes the guide as "excellent" as all sites are visited by national tourist board assessors.

It is in ten sections to cover each part of the country and includes information like prices, contact numbers, star ratings and particular assets of the park, like being ideal for families or having lots of walking routes.

There is also a photo of each site, with 1,000 parks being listed.

Britain's tourist board has also included forest holiday villages this year, which are parks located in a forest aimed towards conservation and sustainable tourism.

The board offers a number of other books which may be of use to caravan owners, including a guide to short breaks, places to stay by the sea and budget places to stay in cities.
