Vintage caravanning 'should be tried'

Some caravan lovers who are looking for a different twist on their usual trip away in the UK have been advised that vintage caravanning may be the way forward.
According to Stephen Bleach, a writer for the Times, vintage caravan holidays are cheap and cheerful, with the Isle of Wight being one destination which offers them.
The Vintage Vacation park on the island has ten American trailers which add a "classy edge" to caravanning.
Each vehicle has showers, fridges, authentic interiors and aluminium exteriors, with Mr Bleach describing it as "retro but comfy".
The caravans, which house four people, are available for a week for £410 in June and £470 in September, with two-night breaks also available for £185.
Recently holidaying in a horse-drawn carriage in Ireland was advocated as a new holiday trend by Travelbite.
Companies offer old, wooden horse-drawn carriages for a more traditional caravan holiday, with the website saying Ireland's scenery is ideal for the trip.
